How to Edit or Delete Your Profile on Matchouse

Keeping your profile up to date ensures:

  • Better visibility in search and matching

  • Fewer communication issues

  • Accurate listings and service offerings

  • Trust with other users

Whether you’re updating your photo or stepping away from the platform, this guide covers it all.


🔧 How to Edit Your Profile

Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard

  • Log in to matchouse.com

  • Click your profile icon in the top-right corner

  • Select Profile Settings


Step 2: Edit Profile Details

You’ll be able to update:

Field

What You Can Change

Name or Business Name

Edit your displayed name (for individual or agency)

Profile Photo

Upload a new image or logo

Bio / About You

Update your description or service summary

Location / Working Area

Change your preferred area or operating city

Contact Info

Update your phone or business email

Role-specific Info

E.g. Property details, job title, services offered

💡 If you belong to an estate agency, make sure you're editing the correct agency profile or personal profile depending on your view.


Step 3: Save Changes

Click Save Profile to apply all updates. Your profile will update instantly.


👥 Editing Your Agency Profile (If Applicable)

If you're an estate agency owner or team member:

  • Switch to the Estate Agency role

  • Navigate to the Agency Dashboard

  • Click Edit Agency Profile to update:

    • Company name, logo, and description

    • Address, website, and contact info

    • List of team members and their roles

📌 Changes made in your agency profile are separate from your personal Matchouse profile.


🗑️ How to Deactivate or Delete Your Account

Step 1: Go to Account Settings

  • Log in

  • Click your profile icon

  • Go to Account Settings

  • Scroll to “Account Management”


Step 2: Choose to Deactivate or Delete

What It Does

Deactivate

Temporarily hides your profile and listings. You can reactivate anytime.

Delete

Permanently removes your account and all associated data.

⚠️ Deleting your account is permanent. All listings, reviews, and messages will be removed.


Step 3: Confirm the Action

  • You may be asked to enter your password or confirm by email

  • Once confirmed, the action will be processed immediately


Important Notes

  • If you’re part of a verified agency, leaving or deleting your profile does not delete the agency profile

  • If you’re an agency owner, we recommend transferring ownership before deleting your account

  • Reviews linked to your personal profile remain visible unless the account is deleted

  • Reviews earned inside an agency remain with the agency


FAQs

Can I have multiple profiles under one account?

Yes. You can have:

  • A personal service or agent profile

  • Multiple agency profiles (if you’re part of more than one agency)

  • Different profiles under different roles (e.g. Landlord, Buyer, Professional)


Can I delete just one role?

No. Deletion applies to the whole account. You can switch or stop using roles, but not delete roles individually.


Will deleting my account affect my reviews?

Yes. Your personal reviews will be removed. However, agency-based reviews stay with the agency profile.
