Why Switching Roles Matters
Your selected role determines:
What tools appear in your dashboard
How your profile is matched with others
What actions you can take (e.g. posting jobs, listing properties, accepting leads)
But you’re never locked in. You can switch between roles as your needs change — or even use multiple roles at the same time.
How to Switch Roles
Log in to your Matchouse account
Click your profile icon in the top-right corner
Go to Profile Settings
Click Switch Role
Choose the new role you’d like to use:
Landlord
Tenant
Buyer
Estate Agent
Estate Agency
Service Professional
Service Seeker
Your dashboard will instantly update to reflect your new role.
Important: Switching to “Estate Agency” Role
If you switch to the Estate Agency role, you’ll be prompted to either:
Create a new agency by submitting a registration form for verification
Or join an existing agency if you’ve been invited or work with one already

Will I lose anything when I switch roles?
No. All your listings, messages, and history stay attached to your account. Switching roles only changes your dashboard and active tools.
Can I use multiple roles at the same time?
Yes. You can switch between roles as often as needed — your data and activity under each role are always saved.
Do I need to verify again after switching?
No. If you've already verified your email, phone, or ID, it remains valid. For estate agency roles, only the business needs to be verified — personal ID is optional for agency owners.
