What Happens

Deactivate

Your profile is hidden. You won’t appear in search or receive messages. You can log back in anytime.

Delete

Your account is permanently removed. All listings, chats, and data are erased and cannot be recovered.

How to Deactivate Your Account

  1. Log in to your Matchouse account

  2. Click your profile icon (top right)

  3. Select Profile Settings

  4. Scroll to Account & Privacy

  5. Click Deactivate Account

  6. Confirm your choice in the popup

💤 Your account is now hidden but safe. You can return anytime by logging back in.


How to Permanently Delete Your Account

  1. Go to Profile Settings

  2. Navigate to Account & Privacy

  3. Click Delete Account

  4. Enter your password for confirmation

  5. Finalise your choice — this action is permanent

⚠️ Once deleted, your listings, matches, messages, and reviews will be lost forever.

FAQs

Can I reactivate after deactivating?

Yes. Just log in with your email and password. Your profile and data will be restored instantly.


Can I recover my account after deleting it?

No. Account deletion is final and irreversible. We do not keep backups of deleted accounts.


What if I have multiple roles or agency access?

Deactivation only affects your personal account. If you belong to an agency or manage listings, you’ll lose access to those dashboards until reactivated. Team owners will be notified when a user deactivates.
