Publish and Manage Professional Services
Create accurate public services, choose how they are delivered, connect booking settings and keep them useful for discovery and leads.

A Matchouse service explains what a Service Professional or Professional Business offers. Accurate services help customers find the right provider, understand the work and choose whether to enquire or book.
Before you create a service
Decide:
- What outcome the service provides
- Who it is for
- Whether it is delivered online, offline or both
- The area you serve
- Whether customers can book it online
- The duration, price and payment approach where relevant
- Which team members can deliver it for a Professional Business
Create one clear service for each distinct customer need. Avoid duplicate services with slightly different wording.
Create a service
- Open the services area for your professional or business role.
- Select the option to add a service.
- Choose the most accurate category.
- Add a clear title and description.
- Set delivery, location, price and duration details shown by the form.
- Configure booking if the service can be booked online.
- For a business, assign eligible team members.
- Review and publish the service.
Use the exact price structure customers should expect. If a final price depends on an assessment, explain what the displayed amount represents.
Make a service bookable
A bookable service works with your booking opening hours, slot interval, lead time, existing appointments, blocked time and team shifts. The customer only sees times that satisfy the connected rules.
After publishing, open the public profile and test the service as a visitor. Check the duration, price, available times and payment information.
Connect services to lead preferences
Publishing a public service and selecting lead preferences are related but separate actions.
- A public service explains your offer to visitors.
- Lead settings describe which customer requests should trigger matched opportunity alerts.
Keep both areas consistent. Add service keywords, excluded answers, locations and a realistic travel radius in Lead settings.
Edit, pause or remove a service
Update the service when the price, duration, description, delivery method, team or booking status changes. Pause or remove it when you are no longer accepting that work.
Before removing a service, check existing bookings. Changing a public service does not automatically replace the details already recorded against an appointment.
Improve the service page
- Lead with the result the customer is looking for.
- Explain what is included and what is not.
- Use your own relevant work examples.
- Keep prices and duration realistic.
- State the delivery area clearly.
- Maintain accurate availability.
- Collect genuine reviews from completed work.
Adding unrelated categories or keywords does not guarantee discovery and may produce unsuitable enquiries.
