Connect and Sync Google Reviews

Connect the correct Google Business Profile, import reviews, sync changes and manage or troubleshoot the connection.

Eligible Service Professional, Professional Business and Estate Agency profiles can connect a Google Business Profile to import and display its Google reviews alongside Matchouse reviews. This helps visitors see existing public feedback without asking you to rebuild your reputation from the beginning.

Before you connect

  • Use a Google account that manages the correct Google Business Profile.
  • Check that the business location and public information in Google are current.
  • Switch to the Matchouse professional, business or agency role that should display the reviews.
  • Only connect a location that represents the same professional or business.

Imported Google reviews remain identified as Google reviews. They are not converted into Matchouse customer reviews.

Connect Google reviews

  1. Open Reviews for the relevant Matchouse role.
  2. Open the Overview tab.
  3. In Google reviews, select Connect Google.
  4. Sign in to the Google account that manages the business profile.
  5. Review and approve the access requested by the connection flow.
  6. If the account manages more than one business location, choose the correct location.
  7. Select Import reviews.

If the Google account has only one eligible location, Matchouse can connect it automatically after the Google step.

How imported reviews appear

After a successful connection, imported reviews can appear in your Matchouse review overview and on supported public profile surfaces. Matchouse keeps the Google source attached so visitors can distinguish imported Google feedback from reviews created directly on Matchouse.

Connecting Google reviews does not guarantee a particular rating, profile position, enquiry or booking. Keep the rest of the profile complete so visitors have current services, availability and contact information to consider with the reviews.

Sync new or changed reviews

  1. Return to Reviews and open Overview.
  2. Find the connected Google business location.
  3. Review the displayed review count and last-synced time.
  4. Select Sync now when you want to request a fresh import.

Matchouse can also refresh connected reviews automatically. A manual sync may take a short time to appear.

Disconnect a Google location

Open the Google reviews section and choose Disconnect beside the connected location. This stops future syncing for that connection. Disconnecting Google does not delete reviews that customers created directly on Matchouse.

Troubleshooting

No business locations were found

Confirm that the Google account manages an eligible Google Business Profile and that you signed in with the correct account.

The connection request expired

Return to the Reviews page and start Connect Google again.

Google did not return access

Remove the earlier Matchouse permission from the Google account if the connection screen advises it, then reconnect and approve the requested access.

The wrong location was connected

Disconnect it, reconnect the Google account and choose the correct business location.

Reviews are not current

Select Sync now. If syncing continues to fail, check the Google Business Profile connection and contact Matchouse Support.
