Matchouse search and Marketplace help you find people, professionals, businesses, services, posts and property from one connected experience. The results you see depend on the search terms, location, filters, profile visibility and available content.

Use Marketplace sections

Marketplace separates different types of discovery so you can focus on the right result.

  • Services shows services offered by professionals and businesses.
  • Businesses helps you browse Professional Businesses and other supported business profiles.
  • Professional and people discovery can show relevant public profiles.
  • Property discovery shows available listings and property-related results.
  • Posts help you discover public updates, advice, work and discussions.

The exact tabs can vary by your Matchouse role and screen size.

Search for a service or provider

  1. Open Marketplace or search.
  2. Choose the relevant section.
  3. Enter the service, business, professional or topic.
  4. Add a location or use available filters.
  5. Open a result to review the full profile or service.

Compare the service details, working area, reviews, verification, availability and price information before contacting or booking.

Find nearby property

Property discovery can begin with relevant nearby listings when a usable location is available. If Matchouse cannot use a location, the experience can fall back to a broader UK-wide view so the page still contains useful listings.

You can change the search area and filters. Results can vary as listings are added, updated, sold, let, paused or removed.

A public Service Professional can appear in discovery even when they are not currently receiving service leads. Lead preferences control matched opportunity alerts, while public profile visibility controls whether people can discover the profile.

An unlisted profile is not presented in the same way as an active public profile, and public booking or reputation actions may be hidden.

Save useful results

Use the save or bookmark action where available to return to a property or post later. Following a person or business adds their public activity to your Following experience where supported.

Saving or following does not reserve a service or property. Use the booking, enquiry or contact action to take the next step.

Matchouse can use relevance, location, visibility, current information and genuine activity to organise discovery. Automated systems may assist with matching and categorisation. Private weighting and implementation details are not published, and no result has a guaranteed position.
