Use Matchouse Chat and Share Contact Details Safely
Send messages, keep drafts, use full-page chat and share a private time-limited contact card with one recipient.
Last updated About 2 hours ago
Matchouse chat keeps service, property and business conversations connected to the people involved. You can move between compact conversations and a full-page chat experience, and unfinished message drafts are saved so you can return to them.
Start or open a conversation
Use a supported Message, enquiry, lead or booking action to start a conversation. Existing chats are available from the messaging area.
Before sending sensitive information, check the profile and the context at the top of the conversation so you know who will receive it.
Send a message
- Open the conversation.
- Enter your message.
- Add a supported attachment if needed.
- Review the recipient and content.
- Send the message.
Keep booking, service or property details clear. Do not send passwords, identity documents, full payment card details or security codes.
Saved drafts
If you leave a conversation before sending, Matchouse can preserve the draft for that chat. Return to the conversation to review, finish or remove it.
A draft is not sent until you select the send action.
Share a private contact card
When the contact-card option is available, Matchouse creates a signed private link for one recipient. The link is designed to expire after 24 hours and can provide a downloadable contact card.
This is safer than posting private contact details publicly because:
- The link is intended for the selected recipient.
- The link is time-limited.
- The contact can be added using the supported vCard format.
Check the contact information before sharing. A recipient may still save information they are allowed to view, so share only what is necessary.
Business and team chats
Professional Businesses and agencies can have group conversations connected to the business and relevant team members. Access depends on the member's role and permission.
Keep the team list current so former members do not retain business access. Use the business conversation when the message concerns work managed by the organisation.
Chat notifications
Message notifications can be filtered by your Matchouse role and settings. A team notification may be sent to the members who need to act rather than every person connected to the business.
Open notification settings if chat alerts are missing or too broad.
Report or block
Use the available report or block controls if a conversation is abusive, suspicious or unrelated to a genuine Matchouse activity. Save any information you may need before blocking, because access to the conversation can change.
