Share Your Profile and Add It to Your Website

Share a Matchouse profile link, create a secure contact card and add a compact light, dark or system profile embed to a website.

Last updated About 1 hour ago

Sharing your Matchouse profile gives customers one place to review your services, activity, reviews, verification and booking options. Professionals and businesses can also add a compact Matchouse profile card to a website.

Share the public profile

Open the public profile and use the available share action, or copy its public link. Matchouse profile links can use a shorter share identifier where supported.

Before sharing:

  1. Check that the profile is public.
  2. Review services, reviews and contact information.
  3. Confirm booking hours and availability.
  4. Open the link while signed out to check the visitor experience.

Public links can be forwarded by the recipient, so do not place private customer or account information on the profile.

Share a private contact card

If you need to send contact details to one person, use the contact-card action in Matchouse chat instead of adding private information to a public post.

The signed link is intended for one recipient, expires after 24 hours and can provide a vCard that the recipient can add to their contacts. Check the details before sharing because a recipient may save information they are allowed to view.

Add a profile embed to a website

Use the website embed option from your professional or business sharing tools.

  1. Open the profile sharing or embed area.
  2. Choose the profile to display.
  3. Select System, Light or Dark appearance.
  4. Copy the generated embed code.
  5. Add the code to the website page where the card should appear.
  6. Publish the website and test the card on desktop and mobile.

The compact embed is designed to fit a height of about 165 pixels. Allow enough width for the profile information and action to remain readable.

Choose the right appearance

  • System follows the visitor's or website's supported appearance preference.
  • Light is useful on a light page.
  • Dark is useful on a dark page.

Choose the version with clear contrast against the surrounding website.

What visitors can do

The embed gives visitors a direct route to the public Matchouse profile. The profile can then show current services, posts, reviews, booking options and other public information supported for that role.

The embed does not copy all Matchouse content into your website. This means updates to the public profile remain available when the visitor opens it.

Troubleshooting

The embed is blank

Confirm the profile is public and the full generated code was added. Check whether the website builder blocks embedded frames or scripts.

The card is cut off

Remove a fixed height below the recommended size, check the container width and make sure the website theme is not hiding overflow.

The colours are hard to read

Switch between System, Light and Dark, then publish the updated embed.

The profile information is old

Update the Matchouse profile, then refresh the website page. Cached website content can take a short time to update.
