Complete Your Matchouse Profile and Improve Discovery
Complete the profile details that help customers understand your work, find relevant services and decide whether to contact or book you.
Last updated About 1 hour ago
A complete Matchouse profile gives customers enough information to understand who you are, what you offer and where or how you work. It also gives Matchouse clearer information to use when showing relevant profiles, services and content.
Profile completion can support discovery and trust, but it does not guarantee a search position, profile visit, enquiry or booking.
Complete a Service Professional profile
The professional profile completion meter checks six core areas:
- About title
- Tagline
- About description
- At least one service
- Location
- Working mode, such as offline, online or both
The meter is shown while the profile is incomplete and disappears at 100%.
Add information customers can use
About title and tagline
Use a clear description of your role and the value you provide. Avoid a list of unrelated keywords. A customer should be able to understand your main area of work at a glance.
About description
Explain the type of work you take on, who you help, relevant experience and what a customer can expect. Keep important facts near the beginning.
Services
Add the services you currently provide. For each service, keep the title, description, duration, price and booking status accurate. Public services can help customers find the right route to enquire or book.
Location and working mode
Add the area you serve and choose whether you work offline, online or both. Accurate location information can improve the relevance of local discovery and reduce enquiries outside your working area.
Review the rest of your public identity
The completion meter focuses on core professional fields, but customers may also use other information when deciding what to do next. Review:
- Profile photo or business logo
- Cover image
- Name or business name
- Contact information you intend to make public
- Portfolio or work examples, where available
- Opening hours and booking availability
- Team members and service assignments for a Professional Business
- Current reviews and verification status
Use your own work and business assets. Do not upload misleading, copied or unrelated images.
Keep the profile current
Update the profile when your services, area, team, prices, hours or contact details change. An inaccurate profile may generate unsuitable enquiries or disappoint customers after they make contact.
A useful monthly check is to:
- Open the public profile.
- Check the first information a visitor sees.
- Review every active service.
- Confirm location, working mode and availability.
- Remove information that is no longer accurate.
Profile visibility
When your profile is public, people can find and share it, including visitors outside your immediate area. Discovery may begin with relevant nearby results and can expand more widely when appropriate.
If you set the profile to unlisted, public booking actions and reputation information may be hidden. Use an unlisted profile when you do not want it promoted as an active public service profile.
Build trust around the profile
- Complete identity verification if it is available for your account.
- Invite genuine customers to review completed work.
- Reply to enquiries and booking requests promptly.
- Publish useful posts related to your work or market.
- Keep your booking calendar accurate.
- Use clear, truthful descriptions and images.
These actions help people evaluate your profile. They do not guarantee reach or ratings, and genuine customer experience remains the basis of reviews.
