Booking Payments, Platform Fees, VIP Hours and Cancellations

Matchouse shows the full booking price and any applicable charges before confirmation.

Online payment platform fees

For an online booking payment, the current platform fee is 1% plus 20p for the customer and 1% plus 20p for the professional, per payment. The checkout screen is the source of truth if pricing changes.

Deposits and saved cards

A provider can collect payment before or after an appointment. Upfront settings may require a deposit. A provider can also use a zero deposit to request card saving without taking a deposit.

VIP booking hours

A provider may mark demanding hours as VIP and set a VIP fee from £3 to £20. Matchouse applies a 20% platform fee to the VIP fee. The customer sees the VIP charge before booking.

Late cancellations

For a normal booking, a provider may set a late cancellation fee from £3 to £10 for cancellations within 24 hours. A late VIP cancellation forfeits the VIP fee and does not add the normal late fee.

Payouts

Providers need an eligible connected payout account with charges and payouts enabled to accept online payments. Payout timing and status are shown by the payment provider.
